Gran Caffè Gambrinus

Since 1860, Gran Caffè Gambrinus has been a historical literary café in Naples, a timeless institution, which has hosted countless famous artists and thinkers, including Gabriele d'Annunzio, Oscar Wilde, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Ernest Hemingway in its Belle Époque-inspired halls. Their pastries include 'sfogliatella', also known as lobster tail, babas, and cassata cake, to be coupled with their assortment of hot chocolate and coffee, as well as ice cream.

Cafés

Naples bristles with great coffee, or rather 'caffè', which means 'espresso' there. The most popular coffee types in Naples are 'caffè ristretto' (a short shot of a more highly concentrated espresso coffee), 'caffè lungo' (espresso coffee drink with more water), and 'caffè macchiato' (espresso coffee drink with a small amount of milk, usually foamed).
