Al Bateen Shipyard

Abu Dhabi has long been famous for its expertise in building dhows, the traditional sailing vessels that were the lifeline to importing and exporting goods in days gone by. Visitors can still see a more modern version of the crafts being made at the Al Bateen Shipyard, which can be found on the west side of the island.
